Recall Top Tips
A long line can be used to help with recall and setting them up for success. It helps to prevent them practicing ignoring your recall cue while you are still working through the difficulty levels.

If you need to get your dog back but you don't think they will respond to your recall cue, the best option is to use something else so not to undo your recall training. "what's this" and food under the nose and hold onto the harness to guide them away from the distraction.*
