Your path to truly confident walks

You’ve learned the games and built a great foundation—now it’s time to put it to the test! It’s one thing to have a great recall in a quiet park, but another when a squirrel runs by or another dog appears.

These social training walks are the bridge between the classroom and the real world. They are designed to help you and your dog navigate everyday situations with confidence, turning stressful walks into the enjoyable, relaxing experience you’ve always wanted.

What we'll work on

During our on-lead group walks around Epsom, we’ll focus on the skills that matter most when you’re out and about. We will work on:

  • Calm focus around distractions: Teaching your dog to stay engaged with you, even when other dogs or people are nearby.

  • Perfecting your loose-lead walking: Maintaining that lovely loose lead in a stimulating, real-world group setting.

  • Polite greetings & manners: Practicing how to prevent jumping up on strangers and passing others calmly.

  • Building a reliable recall: Strengthening your dog’s ability to come back to you, even with exciting things happening.

  • Café & pub calmness: Learning how to settle peacefully in social environments like a local café.

What's included in your walk

  • A 50-minute on-lead group walk in a real-world Epsom location.

  • Expert coaching and guidance from me throughout the walk.

  • A small, supportive group to ensure a safe and positive experience.

  • Practical tips to build your confidence on your own daily walks.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to frequently asked questions. If you have any other specific questions, please get in touch with Cathy.

These social walks are exclusively for those who have trained with me before, either in a group class or in a one-to-one session.

This is not for dogs with significant reactivity issues. Your dog must be comfortable and generally non-reactive around other dogs and people to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone in the group.

What is the format?

The cost is £30 per session. Because spaces are very limited, please contact me directly to find out about the next available walk and to book your spot.
